Aquapark Costa Teguise is Lanzarote's big water park: 25 slides, 11 pools, a children's lagoon with its own slides and three food areas. It clearly beats Aqualava, the park in Playa Blanca, on the number of rides. In return, it has two limitations worth knowing before you book: it closes from November to late March and its pools are not heated.
The official website is aquaparklanzarote.es. The old .com domain redirects to a domain-for-sale page: do not buy anything there.
What to know before you go
For
- Plenty of different slides: this is the park for older children, teenagers and adults.
- Cheaper half-day ticket from 14:00.
- 8% discount when you buy on the official website.
- Free parking and direct buses from Arrecife, Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero.
- Priority-access wristband for children with autism.
Against
- Unheated water: cold in spring or on a windy day.
- Closed from November to late March.
- Reviews repeatedly say some facilities are looking worn.
- No outside food allowed.
Our verdict: from June to October, with children over 8 or 9, it is the water park on the island with the most slides for a full day out. In April, or if your children are small and feel the cold, Aqualava with its heated water is the safer bet.
Aquapark Costa Teguise season and opening times
The park opens from late March to early November. This season's calendar:
- 29 March to 5 April: every day.
- 6 April to 31 May: Thursday to Monday. Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- 1 June to 8 November: every day, 10:00 to 17:00.
From 9 November to late March it is closed. If you are travelling in winter, your alternatives are Aqualava in Playa Blanca, which opens all year with heated pools, and Aqua Rancho, the heated water area at Rancho Texas, included in its ticket.
Check the weather before you go
The park does not refund you if it closes early because of bad weather or technical problems. As the water is not heated, a cloudy, windy day drags. Check the forecast and our guide to the weather in Lanzarote before buying a dated ticket.

The website itself shows €20 for a child on another page; if the child price matters to you, check it when you pay. Canary Islands residents get a reduced rate with ID, but the website publishes two different figures: ask at the ticket office.
Buying online on the official website gets you 8% off, so an adult ticket comes to about €25.80. A family of two adults and two children pays €94 at the ticket office, or about €86.50 with the online discount.
The half day is the smart buy if you are coming from a morning on the beach or an excursion: you go in at 14:00 and get three hours for €20. The 7-day pass only pays off from six visits.
Groups of 20 or more: €17 adults and €13 children, or €23 and €19 with a meal. You need to book at least 3 days ahead and pay 20% in advance.

- Official website (tickets): the cheapest thanks to the 8% discount. Tickets are personal and non-transferable. With the optional "Trip Protection" insurance you get a full refund up to one hour before opening; without it, the website does not mention refunds.
- GetYourGuide: €28, rated 4.2 out of 5 from more than 580 reviews.
- Tiqets: €28, rated 4.0 out of 5, with cancellation up to 23:59 the day before. It also sells a combo with Aquarium Lanzarote, also in Costa Teguise, with a 10% discount: €39.60 instead of €44 per adult. It is the only genuine two-park discount we have seen on the platforms.
If you do not need flexibility, buy direct. If you want to be able to cancel free of charge in case the weather turns, Tiqets' cancellation is worth the couple of euros' difference. More detail in our reviews of GetYourGuide and Tiqets.

Slides, pools and minimum heights
The park has 25 slides and 11 pools, plus a children's lagoon with its own slides. The website does not publish a full list of slides with their height limits, but it does give the general rule:
- Most rides require 100 cm.
- Some require 120 cm and others 140 cm.
- Adults and children cannot go down the slides together.
- Pregnant women cannot use the slides.
- Cameras and GoPros are not allowed on the slides.
There are paid extras: virtual reality (Cyberduck VR), paintball (ask for the price), summer camps and birthday packages.
Accessibility: pool hoists, accessible toilets in four areas, wheelchairs on request and pushchair parking. For children with autism, ask at the ticket office for the priority queue wristband.
What visitors say
On Tripadvisor, people praise the variety of slides, which is enough for a full family day, and the plentiful sunloungers. The complaints recur: some slides and tiles look worn, the water is cold and the price seems high for the park's condition. It is rated 4.2 on GetYourGuide and 4.0 on Tiqets, similar to Aqualava (4.0 and 3.9) and below the Aquarium and Rancho Texas.
Food, restaurants and rules
Can you take food into Aquapark Costa Teguise? No. Outside food, drink and alcohol are banned, as are cans and glass. Inside there are three restaurant and fast-food areas.

Rules:
- Under-12s must be with an adult.
- Only Lycra rash vests are allowed, not ordinary T-shirts.
- If you pay by card, you will be asked for ID or your passport.

Park bus
The Aquapark runs its own bus from Puerto del Carmen, Puerto Calero and Playa Blanca for €7 per person return (another page of the website says "from €5"). The stops are confirmed when you book. See the park's practical information. Unlike Aqualava's, it is not free.
By car
From Arrecife it takes about 10 minutes and from Puerto del Carmen just over 20. From Playa Blanca, more than 40 minutes: if you are staying in the south and travelling outside summer, Aqualava is much closer. If you have no car, see Lanzarote without a car.
